Sue Goodchild
of the Yavapai County Pachyderm Club.
The Pachyderm Club was founded in 2007 by conservative firebrands Don Goldwater, former State Senator Thayer Vershoor, and longtime Republican activist Phil Mason, as a platform for conservative voices within the Arizona GOP. For many years, the Yavapai County chapter was led by Sue Goodchild, and held ‘standing room only’ monthly meetings at the Bonfire Restaurant in Chino Valley. After a fire at the restaurant and COVID closures in 2020, Pachyderm meetings were suspended. However, in 2023 the Pachyderm Club, again under Ms. Goodchild’s auspices, was revived in Dewey, Arizona, and will hold a full schedule of candidate events leading up to the 2024 election.
